LuminoCity Festival Brings Holiday Light Display To Roer's Zoofari In Reston This Friday

RESTON, VA — The 2021 holiday season comes early to Reston this year thanks to a new exhibit being hosted by Roer's Zoofari.

LuminoCity Festival is a unique outdoor holiday light display experience, which includes African, Asian, Arid, and Ancient-themed exhibits. This year's animal-themed displays include light sculptures based on popular social media pet stars, including Navy and Duke, Cole and Marmalade, and TurboRoo.

Although this is the festival's third year, it's the first time it has come to a location outside the New York area. This year's new exhibit, which is entitled "Lumi's Utopia," highlights the works of young artists from communities in Virginia and New York. Their two-dimensional art designs are transformed into glowing three-dimensional art sculptures.

“We are so excited to be one of only two locations to host the 2021 LuminoCity Festival,” said Roer’s Zoofari CEO Vanessa Roer, in a release. “This exhibit is going to be a great immersive experience for the whole family, and we can’t wait to see our visitors’ faces when they witness this incredible light display for the first time.”

Visitors will be able to enjoy the glowing displays as they stroll through Roer’s Zoofari walk-through area. The exhibit opens this Friday and runs through Jan. 2, 2022. Visit the LuminoCity Festival website to purchase tickets and reserve a time slot.
