The Coalition for a Planned Reston will meet at Reston Association headquarters to talk about next steps.

RESTON, VA -- The local activist group formed in response to an attempt by Fairfax County to raise the density limit in Reston will meet Monday night to talk about the way forward.

The Coalition for a Planned Reston will hold the meeting from 7-9 p.m. at Reston Association headquarters at 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive.

"CPR will provide an update on developments since the December community meeting; share the results of the CPR survey (in early April); and outline next steps and opportunities for volunteering with CPR," according to the Facebook event page.

Fairfax County wants to increase the density limit in the Reston Planned Residential Community (PRC) area, which would pave the way for new development. Local residents who are opposed to the move claim that it would lead to an explosion in development that current infrastructure cannot support.
