Major Reston Parkway Closures Beginning Soon
Work on the bridges over the Dulles Toll Road will result in lane closures on Reston Parkway for the next two weekends.

RESTON, VA — Authorities will be shutting down lanes along the Reston Parkway near the Dulles Toll Road over the next two weekends.
The closures will be on the Reston Parkway bridges over the Dulles Toll Road for work related to the bridges rehabilitation/joint closure project, according to a statement from the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The lane closures on Reston Parkway will be as follows:

- 10 p.m. Friday, April 21 – 9 a.m. Sunday, April 23: Southbound two right lanes closed
- 8 p.m. Saturday, April 22 – 3 a.m. Monday, April 24: Northbound two right lanes closed
- 10 p.m. Friday, April 28 – 9 a.m. Sunday, April 30: Southbound two left lanes closed
- 8 p.m. Saturday, April 29 – 3 a.m. Monday, May 1: Northbound two left lanes closed
"Between 8 p.m. Saturday, April 22 and 3 a.m. Monday, April 24, northbound Reston Parkway traffic will not be able to turn left onto the ramp to the westbound Dulles Toll Road; traffic will be detoured via Reston Parkway, Sunset Hills Road and Wiehle Avenue back to the westbound Dulles Toll Road," the statement adds.
VDOT recommends drivers use alternate routes. The overall Dulles Toll Road bridges rehabilitation/joint closure project is scheduled for completion this summer.
