Malicious Wounding Charge Filed In Reston Stabbing Incident: Police
Fairfax County police arrested a suspect in connection to Friday's non-fatal stabbing in Reston, authorities say.

RESTON, VA — A juvenile is facing a malicious wounding charge in connection to a non-fatal stabbing that occurred Friday afternoon in Reston, according to authorities.
Fairfax County police officers responded just after 2 p.m. to the 11100 block of South Lakes Drive to investigate a large group of teens who were involved in a fight.
"When officers arrived, they located a juvenile victim with a stab wound to the lower body," according to the incident report. "The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators determined that multiple juveniles participated in the fight, during which, the of them produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the lower body, according to the report. Police identified the suspect, whom they took into custody later in the day.
As of Tuesday morning, the suspect remains in custody at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center, according to police.
