Man Accused of Robbing Reston 7-Eleven Arrested

John McCaw Flynn, 45, of Vienna faces a felony charge of robbery.

Fairfax County Police have arrested a man suspected of robbing a 7-Eleven convenience store in Reston back in May.

Acting on an anonymous tip received through Fairfax County Crime Solvers, detectives from the Reston Police District were able to obtain a robbery warrant for 45-year-old John McCaw Flynn of Vienna on June 13, and police arrested him June 21, according to a police statement issued Tuesday, July 26.

Flynn is accused of entering the 7-Eleven at 2303 Soapstone Drive #C on May 20 at around 6 a.m. and announcing that he had a weapon, according to a May police statement. He fled the store with merchandise in hand.

He may have left in a vehicle that had been waiting for him near Underoak Court, police said.

Flynn was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center after his arrest.
