Man Attacked, Robbed In Herndon Area: Police Report

Fairfax County Police are investigating an early morning robbery that occurred Tuesday in the Herndon area of the county.

HERNDON, VA — Detectives from the Reston District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department are investigating a robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning in the Herndon area of the county, according to the weekly crime report.

A man was attacked by four individuals who were known to him around 4:47 a.m., in the 2100 block of Astoria Circle. After stealing the man's phone, the four individuals drove away in a 2003 Scion. FCPD officers attempted to stop the vehicle as was leaving the area, but the drive refused to stop, which led to a pursuit. After traveling a short distance, the driver stopped the car and the four individuals ran off. Police located two of the car's occupants.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. This case remains under investigation.
