Man Charged In Fatal Reston Pedestrian Crash: Police
A Herndon man has been charged with speeding in connection with the incident last month, police say.

RESTON, VA -- The driver who was involved in a crash that killed a pedestrian just outside Reston Town Center has been charged with speeding, police say.
Police charged 67-year-old Michael Peter Fruitman of Herndon with going 60 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department. He was issued a summons.
Police say Fruitman struck 71-year-old Glanetta Miller Nunn of Reston on May 21 as she was attempting to cross Reston Parkway at Bluemont Way.

Fruitman was travelling northbound on Reston Parkway. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Nunn was pronounced dead at the scene.
