Man Charged in Reston Town Center Bank Robbery: Police
Elvis Josue Alvarado Martinez is accused of walking into the bank Wednesday and implying he had a weapon.

RESTON, VA — Police have charged a man in connection with the robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Reston Town Center on Wednesday.
Police charged 21-year-old Elvis Josue Alvarado Martinez of Cameron Crescent Drive in Reston with one count of bank robbery, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.
Martinez was taken into custody not long after the robbery, which happened at around 9 a.m. Oct. 12, police said. He is accused of walking into the bank, implying he had a weapon and demanding money, leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police scrambled a helicopter, K9 and SWAT unit to the scene. Martinez was found a short distance from the bank.
