Man Robs Gas Station, Assaults Employee: Police Report

RESTON, VA — Fairfax County Police from the Reston District Station are investigating a robbery that took place early Thursday morning at a gas station in the Herndon area of the county, according to the weekly crime report.

Around 12:14 a.m., a man entered the Sunoco gas station at 13470 Coppermine Road, where he assaulted an employee and demanded money from the register. Taking the cash, the man then fled the store. The employee was not injured, according to police.
