Meet Alpacas And Eat Artisan Popsicles At CVS-Sponsored Vaccination Clinic In Reston
To attract people to a CVS-sponsored vaccination clinic on Sunday at their home, a Reston couple will be bringing in two alpacas and a goat.
RESTON, VA — For the second year in a row, Kristi Kennard Guidry and her husband Ben Guidry are hosting a pop-up vaccination clinic at their Reston home. About 40 people came to last year's event, which had a "Shots and Brauts" theme. This year, there will be alpacas.
"In an effort to attempt to get people out here, we've decided to bring MyPetAlpaca," Kennard Guidry said. "We'll have two alpacas and a baby goat for emotional support."
CVS is sponsoring the clinic from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Guidry family's home at 12402 Melmark Court in Reston. Visitors who want to be vaccinated need to schedule a time and register with CVS.

"People can sign up for any vaccination that CVS offers — flu shots, pneumonia vaccines, shingles," Kennard Guidry said. "They don't have the COVID-19 one on the signup list. But should anybody want that, I can get that here that day as well. It's just not available for online."
For those who are concerned about the spread of COVID-19, visitors are encouraged to wear a mask and be safe to their comfort level.

"It'll just be in our driveway," Kennard Guidry said. "We're spreading out appointments, so everybody's not there all at once."
If the need for a vaccination and the presence of cute animals aren't enough incentive, WhimPop will be providing fresh artisan popsicles.
Kennard Guidry and her husband are both Realtors. As such, they are always looking for opportunities to give back to the Reston community. In the past, they've sponsored fundraisers, including one for the South Lakes High School Food Pantry
The couple is sponsoring Sunday's clinic with their friend Ladan Madresehee, who is an event planner and owner of Leave it to ME.
"We just try to do something different that people are going to look for and still get a benefit out of," Kennard Guidry said. "This was one that was a lot of fun last year, so we decided we're going to do it again."
