More Reston Car Break-ins

At approximately 4:40 am on August 26th, there were some Reston residents who were victims of car break-ins or attempted break-ins. One victim of the car break in had their rear window completely smashed out, followed by the theft of the vehicle's contents (these were later recovered in the wooded area within the cluster). Other victims had their car doors opened, but no items were taken.

The suspects of these crimes, however, were caught on camera. The video depicted how two of the suspects walked on each side of the street on the sidewalks, while the third suspect walked down the middle of the street. The two suspects above would walk up to each driveway and check the doors of the parked cars, or even the cars parked in the extra parking spaces. From these videos, it yielded the following descriptions of the 3 suspects:

- Suspect Number 1: Hispanic or White male between 17 to 20 years old; 5'6" to 5'8" with a medium build and weighing between 150 to 160 lbs. He had closely cropped dark hair and goatee on lower chin, and wore a long sleeve light colored shirt; he also carried a light colored baseball bat (possibly wood) in his right hand and a flashlight in his left hand.
