National Night Out Returns To Fairfax County In August

Fairfax County Police invite residents to get outside and host an event in their neighborhood to promote public safety awareness.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Fairfax County Police are inviting community members to take part in National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 3.

Each year, neighborhoods and law enforcement departments from around the country gather together on the first Tuesday in August to promote public safety.

National Night Out is also an opportunity for residents to get outside and host events, where they can meet their neighbors and learn from local law enforcement representatives how to make their neighborhood safer. Past events have included cookouts, music, and other activities.
