New Owners for Hunters Woods Village Center

Hunters Woods Village Center has been sold to a South Carolina based retail developer.

Edens & Avant, a national retail developer and operator, says it purchased the shopping center   for an undisclosed price, an acquisition that brings to 30 the number of Washington area shopping centers owned by the company.

Hunters Woods, which was more than 120,000 square feet of space, was completely redesigned and rebuilt in the last 1990s. It is anchored by Safeway, and also houses Ledo's restaurant, Dairy Queen and a new laundromat. The shopping center is adjacent to the  Reston Community Center and Hunters Woods Fellowship House.

Plans for any redevelopment or changes are not yet known.
