New Restaurant Opens In Reston

Nando's PERi-PERi have just opened their new restaurant on Sunset Hills Road, and a grand opening will take place on Saturday.

RESTON, VA -- Nando's PERi-PERi is open for business on Sunset Hills Road, and the restaurant chain will donate 100 percent of sales at their grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 18 to support music programs at South Lakes High School and Herndon High School.

The popular flame-grilled chicken chain said in a statement that the restaurant had opened on Monday at 12120 Sunset Hills Road in the RTC West development, and it is the 40th Nando's location to open in the United States and the ninth in the state of Virginia.

The chain has raised more than $250,000 for public schools and non-profit organizations.

"Herndon High School will use the funds to send their marching band to represent the United States at the 75th Commemoration of D-Day in Normandy, France, in 2019," the statement reads. "South Lakes High School will use the donations to send their marching band to Hawaii to perform at the 2017 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade, and to meet other needs of the band program."
