New Reston Bikeshare Location Opens

RESTON, VA — Capital Bikeshare continues to expand in Reston, and has just opened another station at Reston Parkway and Spectrum Drive, the company announced on Twitter.

The company opened a 15-dock station there, with eight available bikes and another seven slots for returning bikes.

Capital Bikeshare first launched in Fairfax County back in October, unveiling nine stations in Reston and eight in Tysons Corner. Local officials were on hand for a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at Reston Station.

In addition to the new one, Bikeshare stations are located at YMCA Fairfax County Reston; Reston Town Center Transit Station; Reston Regional Library; Reston Station; Temporary Road and Old Reston Avenue; Library Street and Freedom Drive (Reston Town Center); New Dominion Parkway and Fountain Drive (Reston Town Center); Sunset Hills and Old Reston Avenue; and Town Center Parkway and Bowman Towne Drive.

This is the 15th and final Bikeshare Station at Reston, according to the county.
