New Reston Project to Help Area Children Launches on Wednesday
RestON Opportunity Neighborhood aims to unify the community in increasing opportunities for children.

RESTON, VA — A new effort called RestON Opportunity Neighborhood that aims to unite the community in helping the area's children is launching Wednesday evening, and you're invited.
An "Opportunity Neighborhood" refers to a neighborhood where residents, schools, local government, community organizations, churches and businesses work to "help all children reach their full potential and enjoy success in their journey from infancy to adulthood," according to a RestON statement.
"RestON (Reston Opportunity Neighborhood) brings Fairfax County's Opportunity Neighborhood initiative to our community," the statement adds. "Hunter Mill Supervisor Cathy Hudgins and FCPS School Board Representative Pat Hynes invite Reston-area residents, nonprofits, schools, county programs, businesses and faith communities to join this movement and take a collective approach to ensuring success for Reston youth."
