Now Open: Vapiano and Midtown Kabob

Two restaurants are newcomers to Reston Town Center.

After a lengthy construction period and a weeklong delay from its original opening date, finally opened its doors on Wednesday.

The outpost of the international chain, which has local stores in DC. Bethesda and Dulles Town Center, is a stylish, 6,300-square-foot spot with extra-high ceilings.

Vapiano, located on Explorer Street across from Reston Town Square Park, specializes in reasonably priced, house-made Italian food such as gourmet pizzas, a wide variety of pastas, panini and desserts. The restaurant has its own system - counter service, where customers order and pick up food, swipe a card, then pay the bill on their way out.

It has a large bar area, so Vapiano will surely be a new destination on Happy Hour Circuit.
