Now Using the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum

Classical Ballet Theatre (CBT) is excited for its new training and performance year for many reasons. One is the implementation of the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) National Training Curriculum. The most respected in the United States today, the curriculum addresses artistic technical training, child development, and dancer health while stressing the principles of coordination, musicality, placement, and posture. With an emphasis on maintaining the highest standards, for which CBT is already known, the curriculum also stresses the assessment of each student as a whole dancer, to ensure developmental readiness and safety as he/she progresses from one level to the next.
