One Week Left to Submit Portraits for 'We Make Reston' Mural

Reston residents are running out of time to submit portraits to be included in this year’s “We Make Reston” mural.

The window for entries closes this Sunday, Aug. 9, at 5 p.m. Submitting a portrait is easy: simply visit the project’s website and click “register” to file a submission.

Thanks to the Reston Community Center and the Initiative for Public Art — Reston, this year’s mural will feature the portraits of various community members lined up side-by-side to show the simultaneous unity and diversity of the town.

The mural will be revealed on Sept. 26 at the Reston Multicultural Festival, and will remain on display for up to four weeks, depending on weather damage.
