Park Authority To Host Fairfax County's First Drone Light Show

RESTON, VA — Fairfax County Park Authority will host a drone light show June 27 at Lake Fairfax Park as part of a celebration marking America’s 250th anniversary.

The event is scheduled from 12 to 10 p.m. at Lake Fairfax Park, 1400 Lake Fairfax Drive in Reston. The drone show is scheduled for 9:15 p.m., and attendees are asked to arrive by 8 p.m.

The event will include live music from The Reflex, The Sonic Boom and School of Rock in Herndon, as well as food trucks, drinks and family activities. Park activities available during the day include trails, boating, fishing and camping. The Water Mine Family Swimmin’ Hole will be open during the day with separate admission.

Parking reservations are available online for $20 through June 26. Parking at the gate will be $25, with limited spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event is presented by the Fairfax County 250th Commission and the Fairfax County Park Foundation.
