Parking Fees At Wiehle-Reston East Extended

RESTON, VA -- Extended paid parking hours at the Wiehle-Reston East Metro station begin on Monday, but thanks to the county, Saturday parking will remain free.

WMATA had announced a move to both extend hours during weekdays as well as to begin charging for parking on Saturdays, but Fairfax County pushed back on the measure for Wiehle-Reston East, arguing that it would drive people away from using the station.

However, the county did approve extended parking, so paid parking will begin two hours earlier at 7:30 a.m. beginning Feb. 5, and they will continue an hour later until 2 a.m.
