Parking Is Free At Reston Town Center Starting At 4, Not 5

RESTON, VA — Boston Properties recently announced that parking at Reston Town Center would be free on weekday evenings starting at 5 p.m., but in reality you can start parking for free for the entire evening an hour earlier, although there's a small catch.

Under the new terms from Boston Properties, visitors to RTC will also get a free hour of parking during the day. That means that if you park at 4 p.m., you're good for the rest of the evening without paying, confirmed Kathy Walsh, director of marketing at the Fallston Group, which represents BXP.

However, don't just pull your car into a spot at 4 p.m. and forget about it. If you arrived before 5, you will need to start a parking session, even if you won't ultimately need to pay anything. If you get there after 5, you won't need to start a session.

Remember: The street parking situation remains unchanged, so pay attention to posted signage if you want to avoid a parking ticket.
