Pentatonix, Nancy Kerrigan to Perform Friday at Tysons Tree-Lighting Ceremony
Take the Silver Line to holiday performances this Friday at Tysons Corner Center.
On Friday, Dec. 5, Tysons Corner Center is playing host to a number of festive holiday events that will add some serious sparkle to the season. World-class ice skating performances, live musical performances, special guests and the inaugural lighting of the Tysons Corner Center Plaza Christmas tree will all take center stage, and of course, a very special appearance from Santa himself.
You can take the Silver Line to the event.
The Tysons Corner Center tree will be illuminated through Jan. 1, accompanied by a nightly sound and light show featuring “Sleigh Ride” – the featured track on the recently released Pentatonix holiday album, That’s Christmas To Me.

Official Kick-off of Tysons Corner Center Winterfest
Friday, Dec. 5 - Feb. 28
The arrival of December has launched the official opening of Winterfest at Tysons Corner Center. In addition to the great holiday programming offered, Tysons Corner Center visitors can now browse the Christmas market, featuring German handicrafts from Kathe Wohlfhart and more than 30 artisan and food purveyors, then chill out on the 5,200-square foot ice skating rink, open through Feb. 28 and complete with skate rental.

Pentatonix Performance on the Concourse
3:30 - 4 p.m.
Pentatonix, winners of the 2011 season of The Sing-Off, will perform songs from their new holiday album That’s Christmas To Me. The performance will be emceed by DIY Network’s Alison Victoria and take place on the upper-level concourse connected to the new, elevated outdoor Plaza.
Tysons Corner Center Christmas Tree Lighting and Skating Spectacular on the Plaza
5 - 6 p.m.
The Tysons Corner Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony and skating spectacular will take place on the outdoor Plaza. 94.7 Fresh FM’s Tommy McFly and 106.7 The Fan’s Danny Rouhier will emcee the ceremony that will feature Olympic silver medalist Nancy Kerrigan and Santa Claus, with a special guest appearance from Congressman Gerry Connolly.
The ice show will immediately follow and open with Santa’s elves performing “We Need a Little Christmas” and continue with U.S. national competitor Emilia Murdock, skating live to “Where Are You Christmas?” performed by Samantha Digiorgio. The U.S. National Team Ice Dancers will skate a special performance before Olympian Elene Gedavanashvili takes the ice to perform “Burlesque.” The show will conclude with a grand finale by the entire cast, featuring Nancy Kerrigan.

About Nancy Kerrigan
Nancy Kerrigan is the 1994 Olympic silver medalist, the 1992 Olympic bronze medalist, a two-time world medalist, and the 1993 US National Champion in Figure Skating. She has appeared in Champions on Ice, Broadway on Ice, and an ice show adaptation of the musical Footloose, among other productions. Off the ice, Kerrigan is a national spokeswoman for Fight for Sight.
Additionally, she created The Nancy Kerrigan Foundation to raise awareness and support for the vision impaired. Kerrigan’s mother, Brenda, is legally blind. Nancy resides in the Boston area with her husband Jerry Solomon and children Matthew, Brian and Nicole.
