Police Chase In Reston, 2 Boys Arrested: Police

Police say they refused to stop after an officer spotted them ignoring a traffic light.

RESTON, VA -- Two boys have been arrested after leading police on a chase in Reston on Sunday, police say.

An officer saw a Honda Civic ignore a traffic light at around 11:40 p.m. on March 18 at the intersection of Baron Cameron Avenue and Cameron Health Drive, and attempted to make a traffic stop, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

However, the car continued to drive away, so the officer gave chase.

"During the chase, the driver and passenger exited the car and ran away," the report states. "Officers chased and apprehended the two boys. Petitions for felony speed to elude, unauthorized use, disregarding a traffic signal, and no license will be sought."

Police did not identify the boys or list their ages.
