Police Release Sketch of Suspect Who Robbed Woman at Knifepoint
Woman was threatened at grocery store underground parking garage, police say.
Police are asking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in a robbery that occurred on Thursday, June 11, in the Reston area.
A woman was returning to her car after grocery shopping at around 3 p.m. in an underground parking garage at the Harris Teeter. The grocery store, located at 12960 Highland Crossing Drive at Woodland Park Crossing shopping center, has a Herndon address but is near Reston. (See map.)
The woman, 47, was approached by a man who forced her into the passenger seat of her vehicle and threatened her with a knife. He demanded money and her phone. She handed it over and he fled.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, around 50 years old, wavy hair and wearing a light blue shirt and light brown pants.
