Police: Bank at Reston Town Center Robbed Wednesday

Police say there is usually an uptick in bank robberies this time of year.

Fairfax County Police report that another bank has been robbed in Reston.

On Wednesday, at about 1:50 p.m., a man entered the Wells Fargo Bank in Reston Town Center, at 11911 Freedom Drive and passed a note demanding money from an employee.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the subject fled the bank in the direction of the Chipotle restaurant. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as black, in his 20s, bald and about 6 feet 1 inch tall. The subject was described as wearing a distinctive red hooded jacket with a black strip across the chest and arms and red pants.
