Police Say Reston Man Shot His Wife After Argument
She is in life-threatening condition at the hospital after Thursday's incident at their Reston home.

Fairfax County Police have charged a Reston man in the shooting of his wife, who remains in life-threatening condition, according to police.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting incident in Reston that occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 23 in the 2300 block of Branleigh Park Court.
Police identified the individuals in Thursday’s shooting at a home in Reston as Stephen Thompson, 29, and his wife, 33.

Preliminarily, detectives believe that there was an argument prior to the shooting. The husband is believed to have shot his wife and then himself, police said.
Presently, the victim remains in life-threatening condition in the hospital, according to police.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Stephen Thompson, charging him with malicious wounding and served it at the hospital. He remains in the hospital in non life-threatening condition.
