Police Seek Suspects Who Vandalized South Lakes Football Field

Incident took place Saturday night in Reston, police say.

Fairfax County Crime Solvers is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects who recently vandalized the football fields at South Lakes High School in Reston.

Vandals also struck Herndon High School, according to police.

The first incident occurred at Herndon High School between 11 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, and 8 a.m. on Monday, June 1, police said. The second incident occurred at South Lakes High School between 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, and 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, according to police.

The suspects spray-painted derogatory, biased phrases and inappropriate images on the football fields of both schools, causing more than $6,000 in damage to both turf fields, police said.
