Police Standoff: Man Barricades Himself In Van In Reston
Fairfax County Police responding to a call in Reston ended up negotiating with a man who barricaded himself in a van.
RESTON, VA — Fairfax County Police negotiated with a man who barricade himself in a van Monday morning in a Reston neighborhood.
On Monday, March 9, just before 6 a.m., Fairfax County Police responded to the report of a man slashing tires in the 1800 block of Cameron Glen Drive in Reston, according to 2nd Lt. Erica Webb, a FCPD public information officer.
"They found him and he barricaded himself in a van," Webb said. "After talking with him a little while, he surrendered and he was taken into custody."

No injuries were reported and the suspect was taken to a nearby hospital.
The whole incident was resolved by 7:45 a.m., according to Webb.
