RCC YouTube Channel Receives Innovation Award
Virginia Parks and Recreation Society presented the 2019 "Most Innovative Marketing Strategy" award to RCC's YouTube channel

RESTON, VA — The Reston Community Center's YouTube channel was named the 2019 “Most Innovative Marketing Strategy," for a jurisdiction of 50,001-100,000, at the Virginia Parks and Recreation Society’s (VRPS) 65th annual conference.
RCC launched its YouTube channel last year, with the goal of delivering more content to RCC patrons through video. Award-winning video producer Rebekah Wingert and her production company, Storycatcher Productions, populated the channel initially with six videos, marking the center's 40th anniversary.
“These videos provided a quick and contemporary way to engage potential patrons by offering an entertaining look at RCC’s past and present through video, photos and interviews with staff and RCC Board members,” said RCC Executive Director Leila Gordon, in a release.
