Update: Fairfax Police Suspend Search For Missing Reston Man

Update: May 14, 1:10 p.m.: Fairfax County search and rescue teams have suspended their search for Michael Delaney, 75, who went missing Sunday night in Reston, according to a post on the Fairfax County Police Department's Twitter account.

"Detectives will continue to investigate leads and updates will be provided if additional information becomes available," the post said.

The public is asked to call 703-691-2131 if they have any information about Delaney's whereabouts.

RESTON, VA — Search and rescue teams from around the region have joined members of the Fairfax County Police Department in searching for an endangered Reston man who has been missing since Sunday night, according to a post FCPD's Twitter account.

Michael Delaney, 75, was last seen on Sunday, around 9:02 p.m., in the 1800 block of Town Center Parkway. He is 6-foot-3 and weighs 170 pounds. He has blue eyes and gray hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a yellow hospital gown and jeans. According to police, he is endangered due to mental and/or physical health concerns.

The Fairfax County Search and Rescue Team and a police helicopter have been searching the area near Reston Hospital Center since Monday. They have since been joined by the Shenandoah Mountain Rescue Group from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and search and rescue team members from Prince William County Police.

The public is asked to call 703-691-2131 if they locate Delaney.
