You might know exactly what you want on the inside of a home, but before you sign a lease and move in, do you look at the neighborhood and surrounding areas? When you are paying rent each month you want to make sure you are happy with those things and not just the layout of the property. Take some time to explore the area and get to know the community. Maybe take a walk around the neighborhood to get a feel for your new home and see if you feel comfortable. Also, take a drive to your office, your favorite restaurant or to your friends. This might help you see yourself as a new resident of the community.

 

OVERVIEW:

Chestnut Grove is a condominium community built in 1972 situated in Mid-Reston.  The complex has 226 units offering 1 to 2 bedroom units with a small number of 3 to 4 bedroom units.  The units in this community have a patio or balcony to enjoy the outdoors.  The community backs to a natural wooded setting with walking paths and is close to the W&OD trail.

RENTAL RATES for 2013:

1.      One bedroom units are about 850 sq ft and have been renting for around $1400

2.      Two bedroom units range from 980-1070 sq ft and have been renting in the $1395-$1500 range depending on the different floor plans including the number of bathrooms.

3.      Three bedroom units sizes range from 1205-1330 sq ft and have been renting in the $1680-$1825 range, also depending on the floor plan.

4.      Four bedroom units are about 1860 sq ft and have been renting for around $2250.

 

LOCATION:
Chestnut Grove Condominiums can be found directly off Wiehle Avenue just north of Sunset Hills Road and conveniently located close to the new Silver Line scheduled to open early 2014.  Reston is situated in the heart of Northern Virginia and offers easy access to the Washington Metropolitan area.
