Top 10 Most Stolen Vehicles in Virginia

New study from National Crime Information Center lists makes and models stolen most often in 2014.

After months of collecting data on national car thefts from 2014, the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) released its report on the most commonly stolen vehicles in the last calendar year.

NICB used information provided by the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) to help determine its list, and it also formed lists of the most commonly stolen vehicle makes and models by state.

The top 10 most stolen vehicles in the state of Virginia in 2014 are as follows:

  1. Honda Accord 1997
  2. Ford Pickup (Full Size) 2006
  3. Toyota Camry 2014
  4. Honda Civic 2000
  5. Chevrolet Pickup (Full Size) 2002
  6. Nissan Altima 2006
  7. Toyota Corolla 2010
  8. Chevrolet Impala 2014
  9. Ford Explorer 2002
  10. Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee 1996

  2. Honda Civic (43,936)
  3. Ford Pickup (Full Size) (28,680)
  4. Chevrolet Pickup (Full Size) (23,196)
  5. Toyota Camry (14,605)
  6. Dodge Pickup (Full Size) (11,075)
  7. Dodge Caravan (10,483)
  8. Nissan Altima (9,109)
  9. Acura Integra (6,902)
  10. Nissan Maxima (6,586)
