Reston Association Board Member Resigns
North Point District Director Dannielle LaRosa has announced that she is leaving, opening up a fourth spot for the 2017 elections.

RESTON, VA — A Reston Association board member has announced her resignation, opening up another spot for the upcoming election.
North Point District Director Dannielle LaRosa announced her resignation from the Reston Association Board of Directors in a Dec. 15 email to CEO Cate Fulker and board members, according to a statement from the Reston Association.
LaRosa, who is also the treasurer, will officially vacate her position on April 11.

“Due to family commitments, coupled with the number of board and committee meetings, I feel that my resignation would be best for my family and for North Reston as a whole,” LaRosa said in the statement. “I have loved being a member of this board and I will treasure the conversations that I’ve had with my neighbors as we’ve worked to better our community.”
LaRosa also said she needed to focus her full attention on the St. John's Wood development project.

A total of four seats will now be open for the 2017 election with LaRosa's departure. The person elected to her seat will serve out the remainder of her term, which runs through April 2019. The other positions available are the Hunter Woods/Dogwood District, an at-large position, and the apartment owner's representative, with those terms running through April 2020.
