What are the critical difference between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am the candidate with IT and software experience that is needed for Reston's current transition with a new website design, and an updated IT infrastructure.
What issues define your campaign platform?
The three most defining issues of my campaign are the preservation of Reston's green spaces, the need for the RA to keep a strong financial base by being cautious with the acquisition of new liabilities, and the ongoing need for overhaul for Reston's IT and website redesign.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I was president of my fraternity in university, have had a successful career in software development, and am currently involved with many local activist organizations.
If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office a success?
I would consider my term a success if every inch of green space we have is preserved, all of our financial reports show the RA is a net positive venture, our website overhaul is complete, and an IT committee on the RA is fully established.
What is your vision for the Reston community?
My vision of Reston is a of place that honors its history and tradition by keeping the things most important and defining to itself preserved.
The best advice shared with me was:
“The ancient Oracle said that I was the wisest of all the Greeks. It is because I alone, of all the Greeks, know that I know nothing.” ― Socrates
