Reston Association Chooses Acting CEO

The Board has selected a temporary replacement for Cate Fulkerson, who is stepping down March 1.

RESTON, VA -- The Reston Association has chosen a new acting CEO after the sudden announcement by Cate Fulkerson that she would step down by March 1.

The Reston Association Board of Directors has tapped CFO Robert Wood to be the temporary replacement as the search begins for a new permanent CEO, according to a statement.

Fulkerson will transition to a special adviser role in the Reston Association. There is no timeframe for the new CEO search.

Wood has been with the Reston Association since April 2015. He has worked in financial consulting and is a certified public accountant.

"Wood is a member of the senior leadership team (SLT) at RA and has been involved in all matters related to financial services and information technology functions," the statement reads. "He begins his new role as acting CEO March 1 and looks forward to working with the SLT."
