Reston Association to Consider Approval of Bee Hives on RA Land

When the Reston Association Board of Directors meets Thursday night, one of the items they’ll consider on their agenda? Bee hives.

Specifically, the board will consider a request from a local resident to add bee hives near the Golf Course Island garden plots.
The association will consider entering into a maintenance agreement with to include a “three-hour emergency removal provision,” as well as an emergency backup beekeeper provision if beekeeper Martha Lappin is not present in any emergency.
