Reston Association's At-Large Director Suddenly Resigns

RESTON, VA — Reston Association At-Large Director Eve Thompson has resigned from the RA Board of Directors, effective immediately, RA spokesman Mike Leone said in a statement.

Thompson gave CEO Cate Fulkerson formal notice in a June 6 email.

"It has been a privilege to serve the community that has given me so much," said Thompson in the statement. "A wonderful place to raise my family, a community of friends and neighbors and even a livelihood which is keeping me very busy these days. I believe that it is now best for me to focus my energies in an area where I can make a positive contribution."

The process to fill Thompson's seat will be discussed at the June 22 Board of Directors meeting. Her term was set to expire in April 2019.
