RESTON, VA — Most college and university students have returned to their campuses for the spring semester. Their schools have been announcing various honors achieved by students during the fall academic term.

Alessia J Waitt of Reston was named to the fall 2021 dean's list at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. Waitt is an 2018 honors grad at Herndon High School in 2018, and a CNU senior, working on an English major, a leadership minor, and a master's in teaching.

To be named to the dean's list at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virgina, a student must earn a 3.899 grade point average and carry at least 12 graded classes. The following students were named to JMU's dean's list for the fall 2021 semester:
