Reston College Students Recognized For Recent Academic Honors
Patch recognizes academic achievements of Reston college students who have received honors at their schools.
RESTON, VA — To shine a light on the academic achievements of college students from the Reston area, Patch shares information provided the students' families and Merit News.
Olivia Fournier of Reston was named to the fall 2021 dean's list for academic excellence at Biola University in La Mirada, California. A music major, Fournier was among the 1,000 Biola students to earn a spot on the dean's list by maintaining a 3.6 grade point average or higher while taking 12 or more credits. Qualifying students must also have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Charlotte Aucella of Reston was one of more that 1,250 students who were named to the fall 2021 dean's list at Purchase College in Purchase, New York. To earn a spot on the dean's list, students in B.A. or B.S. programs must maintain a 3.5 or higher grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credits. For BFA and MusB programs, students must earn a 3.75 GPA or higher.

Jennifer Eden Schneider of Reston was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at Nova Southeastern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Jason Grove, a Reston student majoring in industrial and innovative design, was named to the fall 2021 dean's list at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. To be named to the dean's list, a student must obtain a 3.5 grade point average or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.
