Reston Company Chosen for CNBC's Inaugural 'Upstart 25' List of Top US Startups
Could Cloudistics on Sunrise Valley Drive become the next Uber or Airbnb in terms of value? CNBC thinks there's a chance.
RESTON, VA — Where is the next Uber or Airbnb in the United States? That's what CNBC is trying to predict with its inaugural "Upstart 25" list of top U.S. startups, and a Reston company has been placed at No. 5 on the list.
A Feb. 28 CNBC report states that the list covers "promising young start-ups" that are "building brands, breaking industry barriers and scaling quickly on the path to becoming tomorrow's household names."
At No. 5 on the list is Reston's own Cloudistics, located at 11600 Sunrise Valley Drive. Cloudistics provides on-premises cloud infrastructure for virtual applications and containers.

CNBC says the company -- launched in 2013 and run by CEO Najaf Husain -- has funding of $21 million, and has big opportunities to grow in the coming years.
"The former Dell executive started Cloudistics to help companies manage this change with solutions that are cost effective, reliable and able to grow and change with customers' needs," CNBC states. "The company raised $15 million from Bain Capital Ventures in June and opened its second sales office, in London."
