Reston Company Makes Forbes' 'America's Best Employers' List

"On behalf of the 10,000 Serco employees, we are honored to be named on the Forbes list of America's Best Employers," said CEO Dan Allen.

A Reston company is on the 2015 list of “America’s Best Employers,” published by Forbes magazine.

Forbes magazine recently announced its list and Reston-headquartered Serco Inc. was rated as the top business services employer and one of the top 40 overall best employers, according to a news release from Serco. Serco was ranked #39 out of the 500 companies that made the list.

Serco, with its headquarters on Library Street in Reston, provides business and professional services, mostly to the U.S. government; the company was also ranked #1 of all companies in the Washington D.C. metro area.

How were companies chosen? Here’s what Forbes said in their article about America’s Best Employers: “In partnership with Statista.com, we asked more than 20,000 American workers at large U.S. companies, nonprofit institutions like hospitals, government agencies, and U.S. divisions of multinationals a simple question: on a scale of 0-10, how likely would you be to recommend your employer to someone else? How about other employers in your industry?”

“On behalf of the 10,000 Serco employees, we are honored to be named on the Forbes list of America’s Best Employers,” said Dan Allen, Serco’s chairman and CEO. Allen took over as CEO of Serco about two years ago, according to a Washington Business Journal article.
