Reston Doctor Assaults Patient: Police

Police believe there may be other victims and are asking them to come forward.

RESTON, VA -- A doctor who worked in Reston has been accused of "inappropriate contact" with an adult male patient during two separate office visits, and police believe there may be other victims.

Dr. Ticoni Barte, 63, of Herndon practiced at Community Health Care Network in the 1100 block of Washington Plaza West in Reston. He has been charged with two counts of assault, his license to practice medicine has been suspended, and he has been released on a $10,000 bond, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

"The investigation reveals the assaults took place in October and January," the report states. "We were made aware of them in February and immediately began investigating."

Police believe there may be other victims, and are asking anyone who experienced a similar incident with Barte to call 703-246-7830.
