Reston High School Set To Hold Annual Run For Food Pantry
South Lakes High School is sponsoring a 0.5K run to help support the school's food pantry.
RESTON, VA — The South Lakes High School PTSA is holding its annual 0.5k run this Sunday at 3 p.m. to help support the school's food pantry.
Participants will have the chance to win a variety of medals, including awards for the biggest team and most exuberant. The day will also have a Halloween theme to it, as runners are encouraged to wear costumes.
Medals for best costume and best dressed will be given out.

You can choose to go a different route and purchase a VIP ticket. The special option will grant you with a front row seat, a Nordic Knot pretzel, and a variety of other fun perks.
The run begins and ends at the Lake Anne Brew House, with a necessary stop in between for donuts and water.

Raffle prizes include:
- Pink Sapphire Necklace (Valued at $1,500)
- A gift basket from Custom Ink
- Peanut Butter Basket
- Gift cards and massage from Meg Donnelly
Race organizers promise it will be the "most rewarding 650 steps you've taken this month."
The race is sponsored by Lake Anne Brew House, Reston Community Center, Restoration Church, Century 21 Redwood, CustomInk, Aspen Jewelry Designs, Dev Technology, Good Shepard Lutheran Church, Del. Ken Plum, OmMade Peanut Butter, AKG Designs, and Friends of Lake Anne.
