Reston High Schooler Honored by US Army, Performs at Halftime of All-American Bowl
David Clark of South Lakes High School was chosen to be part of the 2017 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.

RESTON, VA — A Reston high schooler who was named to the 2017 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band (USAAAMB) traveled to San Antonio and performed at halftime of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game this weekend.
David Clark, a senior at South Lakes High School, is one of just 125 high school seniors across the nation to earn this honor after he was selected by the National Association for Music Education and the U.S. Army out of more than 2,000 applicants, according to a statement.
Clark is actually the third SLHS band student to earn the honor in as many years. Samantha Gifford (class of 2015) and Brandon Coplen (class of 2016) were the other two honorees. Clark was honored during a ceremony at South Lakes High School in October.
