Reston Homicide Victim Identified By Medical Examiner

RESTON, VA — Homicide detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department identified Iris Ponce Garcia, 19, as the victim Friday of a Sept. 17 fatal shooting in Reston. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed her identity following an autopsy. Police notified next of kin.

FCPD officers responded around 6:39 a.m., for the report of woman lying on the ground in the area of Colts Neck Road and Glade Drive. The woman was suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
