Reston Hosting Big 4th of July Pool Party

There will be a DJ, food and lots of splashing before the big fireworks show in Fairfax.

Reston is offering its own July 4th celebration to complement the big fireworks show in downtown Fairfax later in the evening.

You can drop by the Lake Newport Pool from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. on that day to enjoy a day of food, music and splashing away in the pool on a hot summer's day.

"Come to the pool and enjoy the festivities before you go enjoy fireworks," according to the Reston Association website. "We will have a DJ, contests and prizes. Pizza, popcorn and cotton candy will be available for purchase."
