Reston Kabob to Close July 31 Due to Upcoming Development of Shopping Center

Say goodbye to Reston Kabob — the eatery will be closing July 31 due to redevelopment of the shopping center, according to Masoud Shoja, whose father owns the business. The restaurant is located at 11844 Sunrise Valley Dr.

You’ll still be able to get your kabob fix, but you’ll just have to head to Herndon, he said.

The family bought Grill Kabob in Herndon in November in anticipation of the closing, Shoja said. That location is at 905 Herndon Parkway.

Once redevelopment of the Reston shopping center is complete in two to three years, Reston Kabob hopes to return, Shoja said. The family is in talks with the developers.
