Updated: Reston Man Accused Of 2 Assaults, 1 On Silver Line Train

Reston man faces charges in two recent assaults, one on a Silver Line train and the other in a Reston apartment building.

RESTON, VA — Updated (Oct. 9, 6:15 a.m.) — Metro Transit Police arrested Kendrie Roberts-Monticue, 21, of Reston, in connection with an attempted rape on the Silver Line train Tuesday morning, according to a police release. He was taken into custody at the home of a family member on Thursday

Roberts-Monticue boarded the train at the Wiehle-Reston East Station, physically assaulted a woman around 11:35 a.m., as the train was traveling between the McLean and East Falls Church stations, according to police. He also tried to remove her clothing and exposed himself. The woman was able to flee the train at the East Falls Church Station.

Fairfax County Police also charged Roberts-Monticue Thursday in connection with a sexual assault that took place Wednesday morning at a Reston apartment, according to a police release.

Officers responded shortly before 8 a.m., for the report of an abduction in the 11000 block of Reston Station Boulevard. A man grabbed a woman working inside the building and tried to sexually assault her, according to police. The woman fought the man off, forcing him to run away.

FCPD charged Roberts-Monticue with attempted rape and abduction with intent to defile. He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.
