Police in Maryland have arrested the man on charges of rape and sexual solicitation of a minor.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD -- Police in Maryland have arrested a Reston man who they say met a 13-year-old boy from Ellicott City, Md. over a video app and then sexually abused him for months.

Joseph Coffinberg, 32, of Royal Fern Court in Reston met the boy through a live-streaming video app, and for the next five months he sexually abused him by taking him to a motel once a week, according to a report from the Howard County Police Department.

"Detectives were notified this week that the boy disclosed to a parent that Coffinberger had been driving from Virginia to have sex with him at least once a week since January," the report states. "He reported that Coffinberger would pick him up near his home and often take him to a motel."
